I thought it would be fun to post a few photos from our August 2013 New York City engagement session. All photos were photographed by the talented Monika Broz!

How They Met
“We went to different colleges, but Corey’s good friend was dating my roommate at Rutgers so there were a few times when I’d come home and find Corey sitting on my couch. (Not creepy!) haha We would all hang out together, but Corey and I didn’t start seriously dating until 6 years later.”
“On Saturday, December 23rd I taught a couple fitness classes in the morning and headed home like I always do. Please picture me looking the worst I’ve ever looked in my life, nails NOT done, sweaty and wet from the rain outside. I was a sight to see and NOT prepared for what was about to happen. I walked in our house and there were BEAUTIFUL roses everywhere, the Celine Dion song from the live-action BEAUTY AND THE BEAST movie playing (haha), and Corey was dressed up and asking me to marry him. I was in shock for the next 3 days. I didn’t think he’d be able to pull off a surprise proposal like that but he got me. It was magical and perfect.”
The Wedding Day
“I envision our wedding day to be beautiful, fun and full of love. I want it to feel laid back but gorgeous in the perfect venue we’ve found for ourselves. We want everyone to have the BEST time celebrating with us.”
What Becca Says
What do you love most about Corey? “His sense of humor!”
Who spends more time getting ready to go out? “Me by a LONG shot.”
Who is always right? “Hmm…I like to think I’m right most of the time but I’ll give it to him every now and then. He’s a smart cookie.”
What Corey Says
What do you love most about Becca? “Her ambition.”
Who spends more time getting ready to go out? “Haha! No question. Her.”
Who is always right? “Corey. (Corey said “Corey” when I asked this question).”
I loved capturing this styled seaside elopement with this adventurous couple. It was cold and lightly raining the entire time but that didn’t stop us from having a good time and getting some gorgeous photos in Black Point, Narragansett, Rhode Island.

I recently visited the hubby in Rhode Island for the weekend. He is currently working there during the week and hasn’t gotten a chance to do much exploring. We spent time in Providence, Newport, and Narragansett. I fell in love with Newport, its quaint town, and gorgeous mansions (even their servant’s quarters were beautiful with their shiny copper pots, etc.). It was cold and rainy, but everything was still beautiful, I can only imagine what it’s like at its peak time during the summer.
The mansions we visited were The Breakers, The Elms, Rosecliff, and Marble House. While touring Rosecliff, I found out they currently hold weddings there — I would love to photograph a wedding there one day!
