Late Summer Wedding | Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Congratulations to Alexandra and Eric, who had their beautiful late summer wedding at the Cairnwood Estate in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania. It is a well known belief that rain on your wedding day is good luck. However, it’s even better when the rain gives way to bright, sunny skies just before the ceremony, which was the good fortune these two enjoyed!

Both Alex and Eric got ready inside the charming and intimate Cairnwood Estate. Alex wore a truly stunning strapless sweetheart Martina Liana wedding gown. Her stunning look was completed with a long, whimsical veil.

I love the interiors of this venue—each room across the Estate has its own sumptuous decor, making you want to linger. It is a perfect backdrop for photos. One of the Estate’s rooms featured salmon-paneled walls with ornate gold molding details, where I enjoyed capturing shots of Alex’s gown, shoes, bridal jewelry, and that stunning sparkling engagement ring—designed by the groom himself!

Late Summer Wedding at Cairnwood Estate

After the getting-ready rituals of reading letters and spending quality time with the wedding party, the couple exchanged a sweet and teary-eyed first look. Vows were exchanged at the gorgeous old Bryn Athyn Cathedral. We then took more portraits outside the stone walls, enjoying the lovely weather.

Once their gorgeous, late summer wedding ceremony ended and all their timeless wedding portraits captured the newlyweds headed back to the elegant Cairnwood Estate, but not in just any ride. They traveled back in the very same old Lincoln the bride’s parents drove on their own wedding day! This was a truly sentimental and special detail.

Outdoors on the terrace of the venue, a white tent decked out in string lights and crystal chandeliers offered a romantic touch for the reception area. Elegant fuchsia and peach roses nestled in relaxed greenery decorated the tables, as did white pillar candles inside timeless lanterns. A delicious dinner and a night of dancing closed out a beautiful wedding celebration.
