A vintage garden ambiance bursting with blooms, Shannon and John Ryan’s early fall wedding at Curtis Arboretum in Wyncote, PA was enchanting. The stunning bride wore a sophisticated sweetheart Pronovias gown with a plunging neckline. Her classic, low-bun updo held a long, romantic veil. She clutched a stunning bouquet by Twisted Willow—white flowers and eucalyptus greens, with a peachy pop of fluffy garden roses peeking through.
With bridesmaids in black gowns and the groom and groomsmen in tuxedos, the whole wedding party looked incredibly chic. There were so many scenic spots around the venue for portraits after a joyous first look.
Early Fall Wedding at Curtis Arboretum
Their magnificently beautiful ceremony was held on the grounds of the Curtis Arboretum, nestled within the historical landmark’s 45 acres. Perfectly mismatched wooden and cream-toned vintage seating was arranged so that guests could socially distance. Tall floor lanterns with white pillar candles dotted the grass aisle. Fresh greens interlaced with white and peach roses wove around the historic columns and trellis in front of the striking stone wall where Shannon and John Ryan exchanged vows.
Then, just when I thought the ceremony couldn’t get any more beautiful, Shannon surprised her groom during the ceremony by reading a heartfelt letter to his son. This special and personal touch brought tears to the groom’s eyes, as well as many guests.
Afterwards, champagne served on brass shelves greeted guests as they made their way to the outdoor reception. Greenery rings, sheer white drapes, and romantic bead lights decked the reception area. The reception tables were adorned with their own beauty: white tablecloths with black linen napkins, slim black candles in brass candlesticks, brass cutlery, and an intermingling of tall and low floral arrangements. Wooden farmhouse chairs completed the garden vintage aesthetic. Congrats Shannon and John Ryan!
