September Wedding at Curtis Arboretum
Courtney and Haydon’s September wedding at Curtis Arboretum in Wyncote, PA, was pure magic. The historic Renaissance Revival estate provided the perfect setting with its lush greenery, stone architecture, and incredible light. I’ve been looking forward to photographing their wedding ever since shooting with them during their engagement session.
Courtney wore a stunning wedding dress with floral appliqué and a cathedral veil that flowed beautifully in the breeze. Her bridesmaids looked elegant in eucalyptus green dresses, while the groomsmen kept it classic in black tuxes. Their florals were a dreamy mix of greenery and ivory blooms, perfectly complementing the natural beauty of the venue.
The couple shared an emotional first look on the courtyard patio, where cocktail hour later took place. The lighting that afternoon was absolutely incredible, creating soft, glowing portraits that felt straight out of a fairytale.
The Beauty of Curtis Arboretum
Curtis Arboretum, originally built in 1893, boasts endless backdrops for portraits, from its grand staircases to its vintage pergola and peaceful ponds. Designed by the same landscape architect who created New York City’s Central Park, the grounds are filled with history and charm.
As the sun set, guests enjoyed toasts and dinner beneath the tent before filling the original music ballroom for dancing. The warm glow from the chandeliers and laughter from loved ones made the space feel intimate and romantic.
