Danielle and Matt’s Old City Philadelphia Engagement Session was one for the books! It was filled with so many unique and memorable moments. We encountered a last minute schedule change, which thankfully worked out as we couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous, sunny, and warm spring day. With the sun shining down, we headed to the elegant Merchant’s Exchange Building. This is one of my favorite places to photograph! This historic building features stunning architectural design and grandeur.
Old City Philadelphia Engagement Session
Afterwards, we walked along the cobblestone streets of Old City Philadelphia to Lokal Hotel. This is a gorgeous, luxury boutique hotel that is focused on providing the local Philadelphian experience. I love photographing here! In the past, I’ve captured “getting ready” photos of brides and bridesmaids at this hotel and the images are always really beautiful. Needless to say, I was excited when Danielle and Matt told me they were staying at the stylish Lokal Hotel the evening of our session, with plans to enjoy a romantic evening in the city. Their room was cozy and welcoming. I loved the finishes and the design of the room. It was the perfect spot to end their engagement session.
The relaxed atmosphere of the hotel transferred over into our session, as the couple snuggled up and I captured them in a more casual setting. It created an intimate and romantic vibe as the couple enjoyed a cup of coffee in the kitchen area, took in the view from their hotel window, or shared laughs sitting on the bed. I loved capturing these everyday, more simple moments experienced together as a couple.
These two were such a joy to photograph and I am already looking forward to their wedding at the beautiful, nature-inspired Philadelphia venue Pomme Radnor in summer 2022.
