Ellie and Andrew celebrated their elegant summer wedding day at Curtis Arboretum on a gorgeous June day. This venue held a special place in their hearts, as it perfectly reflected the natural beauty and elegance they sought for their special day. They told me they fell in love with the lush gardens and architecture of the music hall. I completely understand, as I also love this stunning wedding venue for the same reasons.
Their Love Story
Ellie and Andrew first met through a mutual friend while gallery hopping in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City in the fall of 2018. Little did they know that their chance encounter would lead them to a lifetime of love and happiness. Their first date at a dive bar in Bushwick was filled with laughter and connection. After a few months of dating, the couple experienced a ruckus week of art events in the spring of 2019, which solidified their bond. It was during this time that they made their relationship official, and from that moment on they became inseparable.
Summer Wedding at Curtis Arboretum
Ellie readied in the beautiful bridal suite that features gorgeous artwork on the walls and tons of natural light. Her classic wedding dress featured a high slit, showing off a little leg and her strappy wedding shoes. Then there was her dreamy summer bouquet consisting of white, blush pink, and dusty blue flowers all accented by greenery.
Their beautiful ceremony was held outside in the serne, natural beauty of the gardens, nestled within the historical landmark’s 45 acres. Fresh greens wove around the columns and trellis on the raised stone patio. Their summer florals framed their wedding arch where Ellie and Andrew exchanged vows. After the couple made it official, the guests headed out to the garden for cocktail hour.
Sheer white drapes and romantic stringed lights decorated the reception area. The reception tables were adorned with their own beauty – white tablecloths, white candles in clear holders, and low floral arrangements matching the flowers found in Ellie’s bridal bouquet.
The newlyweds spent the rest of the evening celebrating and dancing with their loved ones. I loved watching these two together. They were so full of love and joy all day, and it was easy to see they are a perfect match! Congratulations, Ellie and Andrew! It was an honor to be a part of your stunning and unforgettable wedding day!
