In the heart of Morristown, New Jersey, Reethika and Phillip’s elegant, European-inspired wedding took place at Jockey Hollow Bar and Kitchen. I loved this non-traditional location and the intimate charm of the historic venue. The city of Morristown and the wedding venue holds significance to Reethika and Phillip, as they both spent much of their twenties here, unknowingly passing each other but never meeting. It wasn’t until fate intervened and they went on the first date here at Jockey Hollow Bar and Kitchen. Now, this city is the place they met, went on their first date, lived in their first apartment together, and where they married!
Before the ceremony, Reethika met Phillip behind the building for an intimate first look. The portraits captured are stunning. The well manicured grounds with its lush greenery and flowers painted the perfect backdrop, along with the beautiful Golden Age architecture of the impressive building and its surroundings. Reethika was a picture of elegance herself, in an off-shoulder wedding gown covered with dainty, intricate details, while holding a classic, romantic blend of white and pink flowers. After sharing their first look and capturing their wedding portraits, the pair parted to refresh before the ceremony.
Elegant European-Inspired Wedding
The ceremony and reception took place in the Washington Room of the restaurant. During the ceremony, the space was bathed in natural light creating a warm glow. The space was then transformed for their reception. The carefully curated fine art design elements were handpicked by the bride and added a touch of sophistication and refinement to the already elegant setting. The candlelit dining experience created an intimate and romantic atmosphere, transporting guests to the enchanting streets of Paris.
Their wedding was such a treat – it wasn’t just an event but an intimate, elegant dinner party that beautifully celebrated their love and future life together. Congratulations, Reethika and Phillip! Thank you for allowing me to photograph your beautiful wedding day.
